Milwaukee County Employees' Retirement System hired Segall Bryant & Hamill to manage $69 million in active international small-cap equity.
Marian Ninneman, the $1.7 billion system's director-retirement plan services, confirmed the hiring.
Funding came from terminating Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo, which managed the portfolio in value-oriented active international small-cap equities. The system's board placed GMO on alert for performance Jan. 20. The system issued an RFP in March.
Marquette Associates, the system's investment consultant, assisted with the search.
