Anujeet Sareen joined Brandywine Global Investment Management as a portfolio manager on the firm’s global fixed-income team, spokesman Jimmy Moock said.
The position is new. Mr. Sareen will report to David Hoffman and Steve Smith, managing directors and co-heads of the global fixed-income team.
Mr. Sareen was a managing director of global fixed income and a global macro strategist at Wellington Management. It could not be learned by press time if he was replaced; Wellington spokeswoman Sara Lou Sherman could not be immediately reached for comment.
In addition, Brandywine hired Alberto Boquin and Dorothee Rainis as research analysts to join the global fixed-income team. The positions are new and both also report to Messrs. Hoffman and Smith.
Brandywine Global Investment Management is an affiliate of Legg Mason with $70 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
