Chris Graham was named chief investment officer and head of investment strategies at Nationwide Funds, said a spokesman in an e-mail.
Mr. Graham, who started in his new position Monday, oversees the research, selection, monitoring and risk management of Nationwide's retail, variable insurance and retirement investment offerings, along with the firm's asset allocation products and portfolio construction for its multimanager products, said Nationwide in a news release.
He reports to Mike Spangler, president of Nationwide Funds, the firm's mutual fund business with approximately $58.5 billion in assets in under management.
Previously, Mr. Graham was a senior investment professional for Nationwide Investments, which manages Nationwide's general account. Information on a replacement could not immediately be learned.
