Matt Leckrone was named workplace relationship executive for Bank of America Merrill Lynch's retirement and personal wealth solutions group, said a statement issued by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
The position is new.
“As the financial wellness of employees is an increasing focus for companies, Mr. Leckrone will partner with Bank of America's global corporate banking and its clients,” the statement said. He will focus on large employers, Julia Ehrenfeld, a company spokeswoman, wrote in an e-mail.
He will work to “build relationships with human resources executives to deliver a holistic range of benefits, financial planning programs, and wealth and banking services,” the statement said.
Mr. Leckrone will help provide a variety of Bank of America Merrill Lynch services, such as consumer banking, wealth management and employee benefits, the statement said.
Mr. Leckrone had been global benefits executive for Bank of America, “with responsibilities including leading the (company's) 401(k), deferred compensation and defined benefit programs,” the statement said. Jim Huffman will assume Mr. Leckrone's duties as an expansion of his current role as health, wellness and life management benefits executive, Ms. Ehrenfeld wrote.
