Abhi Shroff joined Pacific Investment Management Co. in Singapore Monday as a senior vice president and head of Southeast Asia institutional business development.
Mr. Shroff replaces Ana Dhoraisingam, who left that sales role in early 2015 to become PineBridge Investments' head of Southeast Asian institutional sales.
Mr. Shroff comes to PIMCO from Greenwich Associates in Singapore, where he served as managing director, Asia-Pacific, leading that firm's investment management consulting business across Asia as well as its broader operations in the region.
In a separate news release Tuesday, Greenwich Associates said that Markus Ohlig, who left the Singapore-based role of managing director, Asia-Pacific at the end of 2013 to become an executive director and head of corporate business development for Bank Vontobel, has returned to Greenwich, taking on Mr. Shroff's investment management consulting responsibilities as part of a broader role.
Based in Zurich, Mr. Ohlig rejoined the firm as managing director, investment management Europe and Asia-Pacific.
In an email, Joan Weber, a Boston-based spokeswoman for Greenwich, said Paul Tan, a Singapore-based managing director and head of banking in the Asia-Pacific region, has taken over as head of the region for Greenwich.
