Steve Mace joined fundamental value equity manager ACR Alpine Capital Research as executive vice president.
The position is new, said Christopher Scibelli, managing director, in an e-mail.
Mr. Mace assumed responsibility for day-to-day operations and the firm’s growth from Nicholas Tompras, ACR’s founder, president and chief investment officer. Mr. Tompras will focus on oversight of the firm’s investment management team, Mr. Scibelli said.
Mr. Mace was chief operating officer of Kennedy Capital Management.
ACR manages about $2.7 billion.
