Niklas Ekvall was named CEO of Swedish pension fund AP4, Stockholm, said a spokeswoman for the fund.
Mr. Ekvall will join Oct. 1, replacing Mats Andersson, who is leaving the 310 billion Swedish kronor ($37.3 billion) pension fund July 12. Further details on Mr. Andersson's plans could not be learned by press time. Per Colleen, head of equities at AP4, will act as interim CEO until Mr. Ekvall joins. The spokeswoman added that Mr. Colleen will then continue as head of equities.
Mr. Ekvall was previously head of group treasury at Nordea, said the statement. Spokesmen could not be reached for comment by press time.
