Ashu Bhargava was appointed a director in strategic transactions within Legal & General Group’s pension risk transfer business.
Mr. Bhargava will work on strategic transactions, focusing on larger client relationships, said a news release Tuesday.
“I’m delighted to welcome (Mr. Bhargava) to Legal & General at a time when trustees and sponsors of defined benefit plans are increasingly focused on strategic derisking,” said Cheryl Agius, head of strategic transactions at L&G, in the news release.
Mr. Bhargava was a senior consultant in Willis Towers Watson’s pensions advisory business, the release said. A spokesman for the firm was not available to comment by press time.
