Mitsuo Ohara joined Standard Life Investments in Tokyo on June 1 as head of institutional sales – Japan, a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman said.
The position is a new one for the Tokyo office Standard Life Investments opened earlier this year.
Mr. Ohara comes to Standard Life Investments from Northern Trust Global Investments Japan, where he served as head of sales and client services, the news release said.
A Northern Trust spokesman said in an e-mail there are no plans to replace Mr. Ohara.
