Dan O’Connor was named a managing director and head of North America consultant relations at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, spokeswoman Lauren Bellmare said.
The position is new. Mr. O’Connor will oversee an expanded consultant relations effort across all of MSIM. He will report to Aiden Redmond, managing director and head of North American institutional distribution.
Mr. O’Connor was a managing director in BlackRock’s global consultant relations division. He is being replaced by Patrick O’Donnell, a director in BlackRock’s institutional client business in Asia, spokeswoman Olivia Offner said.
MSIM reported $405 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
