Robert Perry will join real estate money manager CBRE Global Investors next week as an executive managing director in its strategic partners U.S. business, said Pam Barnett, spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
It is a new position. CBRE's strategic partners U.S. business is a series of closed-end commingled funds making value-added and opportunistic investments in the U.S.
Mr. Perry duties will include originating transactions, raising capital and developing the business. He will report to Vance Maddocks, president of the strategic partners U.S. business.
Mr. Perry had been senior managing director at CarVal Investors, leading its North America real estate business. CarVal is an investment arm of Cargill Inc. Ann Folkman, CarVal managing director, marketing and corporate communications, declined to comment.
