Shigesuke Kashiwagi will join Schroders in Tokyo as president and country head of Japan, effective July 1, according to a news release from the company.
Mr. Kashiwagi will replace Guy Henriques, who will return to the U.K. later this year after four years leading Schroders' Japan operations, the news release said.
Mr. Kashiwagi comes to Schroders from Nomura Holdings, where he served most recently as executive managing director, chief financial officer.
A Nomura spokesman couldn't be reached immediately for comment.
