Chicago Public School Teachers’ Pension & Retirement Fund committed $25 million to KKR North America Fund XII, Angela Miller-May, director of investments, said in an e-mail.
The buyout fund is managed by KKR & Co.
The commitment is a result of a search the $9.3 billion pension fund began in March for private equity managers. Apax Partners and Vista Equity Partners were the other finalists.
