Brockton (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for a firm to provide monitoring and evaluation services of its discretionary investment consultant.
The current consultant, which also serves as the system’s custodian, is SEI, said Harold Hanna, executive director of the $380 million defined benefit pension fund.
This is the first time the system has sought a firm to perform these services. SEI was the first firm the pension fund hired as a discretionary consultant. The search is being conducted because “the board would like to develop some comfort, credence and confidence in the process and envisions getting a semi-annual evaluation for the term of the contract,” said Mr. Hanna.
A copy of the RFP is available by contacting Mr. Hanna via e-mail at [email protected].
Proposals are due 3 p.m. EDT on June 23. A selection date was not disclosed.
