The global network of sovereign wealth funds has selected State Street Corp. to be one of its official research partners, said a news release.
As one of International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds’ official research partners, State Street will work with the IFSWF on research topics relevant to long-term investors, including asset allocation and investing in private markets.
State Street Associates, State Street Global Exchange’s research and advisory services business, has been assigned two specific research projects on which it will collaborate with a working group of sovereign wealth funds.
“The forum has worked closely with State Street for more than seven years, and when it came to establishing research partners we were keen to include them,” said Adrian Orr, chairman of the IFSWF and CEO of the NZ$29.6 billion ($20 billion) New Zealand Superannuation Fund, in the news release.
The first project will focus on investment and asset allocation strategies for the long term, while a second project will examine sovereign wealth funds’ experiences investing in private vs. public markets. Both projects will be turned into white papers.
The papers will be presented to the broader membership at the 2016 annual meeting in Auckland, New Zealand, in November.
