Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, Pasadena, Calif., committed up to $150 million to buyout fund Green Equity Investors VII managed by private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners, according to the board minutes for the $47 billion pension fund.
Leonard Green & Partners’ new fund is a large-cap buyout fund that focuses on the retail, consumer, health-care and wellness, and business services sectors. LACERA’s board made the decision in closed session but subsequently reported its actions in open session at the board’s April 13 meeting.
