BlackRock has made some organizational changes within its infrastructure debt division, according to an internal memo obtained by Pensions & Investments.
Philippe Benaroya and Chris Wrenn, managing directors and co-heads of BlackRock’s European infrastructure debt platform, are leaving the firm to pursue other opportunities.
Erik Savi, managing director and global head of infrastructure debt, will assume the role of acting head of the Europe team while the firm makes plans to appoint a permanent replacement.
Also, Jeetu Balchandani was named head of North American infrastructure debt. He was a managing director within the group, a title he retains. He replaces Mr. Savi in that role.
This is part of a restructuring following the announcement earlier this year that Jim Barry, former global head of BlackRock’s infrastructure investment group, was named head of real assets.
