Ken Lambden, chief investment officer of Baring Asset Management, has left the company, spokeswoman Michelle MacMillan said.
Ms. MacMillan said she had no information about where Mr. Lambden is going.
To assist with this transition, Marino Valensise, head of Barings’ multiasset group and former CIO, will lead the investment committee until sometime in the fourth quarter after the first phase of integrating affiliates closes.
This departure follows the news in March that Baring Asset Management, its affiliate Babson Capital Management and Babson’s subsidiaries Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers and Wood Creek Capital Management announced their intention to combine into one unified firm under the Barings brand with $260 billion in assets under management.
Babson, Barings, Cornerstone and Wood Creek are affiliates of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.
