Ohio Public Employees' Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for an active domestic midcap equity manager to run between $200 million and $400 million, said Julie Graham-Price, spokeswoman.
The $86 billion retirement system, which includes $74.9 billion in defined benefit plan assets, issued an RFI because one of the retirement system's midcap value equity managers, GW Capital, closed on March 31. The search may not necessarily result in an additional midcap core, growth or value equity manager; potentially, the allocation to a current manager could be increased. Ms. Graham-Price was unable to provide further information.
Proposals are due at 6 p.m. EDT on May 20. A selection is expected by October.
The RFI is available on the pension fund's website.
