Irene Goh will join Aberdeen Asset Management as head of multiasset solutions, Asia-Pacific, effective May 3, said Alex Boggis, managing director and head of the firm's Hong Kong office.
The Hong Kong-based position is a new one at the firm. Ms. Goh will come to Aberdeen from AllianceBernstein, where she served as head of multiasset investments, Asia-Pacific, according to an Aberdeen news release.
Brian Lo, a Hong Kong-based spokesman for AllianceBernstein, couldn't be reached immediately for comment.
Ms. Goh will report to Archie Struthers, the firm's Edinburgh-based global head of investment solutions.
Mr. Boggis said in an interview that Ms. Goh will lead the build out of Aberdeen's multiasset team in the Asia-Pacific region, both in terms of investment professionals and client-focused investment specialists.
The Aberdeen news release said the company's belief that the trend of growing interest in outcome-oriented multiasset strategies among retail and institutional investors in Asia “is here to stay.”
