Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund named Garcia Hamilton & Associates, LM Capital Group and Pugh Capital Management as finalists in its search for its first emerging core fixed-income manager, said Susan Boutin, executive director.
Finalist interviews are tentatively scheduled for the May 24 board meeting, with a hiring decision due that day or later.
The allocation size could be $50 million. A final allocation size and funding source have not been set.
An RFP was issued in March. Investment consultant Marquette Associates is assisting.
The $1.2 billion pension fund has a 35% fixed-income target.
