If the private equity consulting business ever loses its allure, Michael J. Moy, managing director, Pension Consulting Alliance LLC, and David Fann, president and CEO of TorreyCove Capital Partners LLC, demonstrated that comedy is an option.
Mr. Moy interviewed Mr. Fann on the 2016 private equity outlook at The Pension Bridge annual conference in San Francisco on April 6.
The veteran consultants took time out from addressing serious topics such as fees and the $1.4 trillion mountain of private equity dry powder for some good-natured ribbing.
“Mike has been in the industry so long, he is really the godfather of the industry in many ways,” Mr. Fann quipped.
Mr. Moy noted that Mr. Fann's hair is a lot grayer than it used to be.
At another point, Mr. Moy noted something of interest in the “five-point not the usual eight-point type” on TorreyCove's website.
“I'm just stunned that you looked at our website,” Mr. Fann shot back.
