George Ahl was named a managing director and client portfolio manager within the global real assets division of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said spokeswoman Kristen Chambers.
The position is new. Mr. Ahl will be responsible for raising capital and advising clients for the firm’s real estate Americas investment platform, which has more than $60 billion in assets under management and 220 professionals. He will be based in New York and report to Alexia Gottschalch, managing director, head of business development and client strategy for real estate Americas at JPMAM.
Mr. Ahl was a managing director at the real estate investment firm Forum Partners where he was responsible for capitalizing global real estate investment strategies. A spokeswoman for Forum Partners declined to comment on whether or not he’s been replaced.
JPMAM has $1.7 trillion in AUM.
