Hawaii Employees' Retirement System, Honolulu, committed $40 million to an open-end core/value-added real estate fund managed by H/2 Capital Partners, said Vijoy Chattergy, chief investment officer.
The pension fund previously committed $30 million to H/2 Core Real Estate Debt Fund in 2015.
As of Dec. 31, the $14.1 billion pension fund has a 6.1% allocation to real estate.
