Greg Barr will join Melbourne-based investment consultant Frontier Advisors, effective May 3, as a senior consultant, focusing on client servicing and key advisory relationships.
The role is new, said spokesman Wayne Sullivan.
Mr. Barr will come to Frontier from Mercer, where he serves as a principal and the firm's Melbourne office leader for investment consulting.
A Mercer spokeswoman didn't immediately have information on plans to replace Mr. Barr.
In a second appointment, Mr. Sullivan said Anthony Michael will join Frontier, effective May 2, as a senior consultant on the firm's capital markets and asset allocation team. It is also a new position.
Mr. Michael previously served as Singapore-based head of fixed income for Aberdeen Asset Management Asia through early 2014.
Mr. Michael couldn't immediately be reached for further details.
