JLL Partners closed its JLL Fund VII at $1 billion, said William Miles, managing director, investor relations.
The buyout fund closed slightly above its $1 billion fundraising target. The private equity manager's previous buyout fund, JLL Fund VI, closed at $807 million at the end of 2008.
Investors include the University of Missouri System, Columbia, which oversees a $3.3 billion defined benefit plan and $1.3 billion endowment pool, and the Montana Board of Investments, Helena, which oversees nine pension funds with a combined $9.8 billion in assets.
