Michael Mondo was named a director in the institutional client group of MetLife Investment Management, said spokesman John Calagna.
The position is new. Mr. Mondo is a senior relationship manager and will be responsible for the business development of MetLife IM's investment strategies, including private assets and fixed income. He will be working primarily with insurance and health-care companies, and reports to Nela D'Agosta, managing director, institutional client group.
Mr. Mondo was an institutional client sales and service officer at Hartford Investment Management Co. It could not be learned by press time if he was replaced; HIMCO spokesman Thomas Hambrick could not immediately be reached for comment.
MetLife IM had $503.5 billion of assets under management as of Dec. 31.
