Valerie Baudson was named CEO of CPR Asset Management, a subsidiary of Amundi that specializes in thematic equities, said a spokesman for the firm.
Ms. Baudson replaces Jean-Eric Mercier. Further details could not be learned by press time.
Ms. Baudson’s current role as CEO, exchange-traded funds, indexing and smart beta at Amundi has been expanded, said the spokesman. She will retain those responsibilities, and the firm expects to soon appoint a managing director to head up Amundi ETF, indexing and smart beta, who will report to Ms. Baudson.
CPR also promoted two personnel to deputy CEO roles. Emmanuelle Court was named deputy CEO, leading business development. Ms. Court has been head of sales at CPR Asset Management since 2009.
Arnaud Faller was promoted to deputy CEO, heading investments. Mr. Faller was named chief investment officer in 2009. Ms. Court and Mr. Faller will continue in their previous roles. They were promoted to deputy CEOs to support Ms. Baudson in her new role.
CPR Asset Management has about €38 billion ($42.8 billion) in assets under management.
