BlackRock Chairman and CEO Laurence D. Fink earned $26 million in total compensation in 2015, the company’s preliminary proxy statement released Friday shows.
Mr. Fink’s package included a $900,000 base salary, an $8.72 million cash bonus and deferred equity of $4.095 million. The remaining $12.285 million was a long-term incentive award.
BlackRock’s 2015 summary compensation table in the proxy statement showed Mr. Fink’s total compensation increased 8% from 2014. However, under BlackRock’s own accounting measure, Mr. Fink’s total compensation was flat last year.
Mr. Fink’s cash bonus in 2015 was 4.4% lower than the previous year.
BlackRock’s assets under management totaled $4.645 trillion as of Dec. 31, flat from year earlier.
