Jacques Chappuis, former managing director and head of Carlyle Group's global solutions business, rejoined Morgan Stanley Investment Management earlier this month as co-head of Morgan Stanley's solutions and multiasset group, said Matt Burkhard, Morgan Stanley spokesman, in an e-mail.
Mr. Chappuis left as head of Morgan Stanley's fund-of-funds business, Alternative Investment Partners, two years ago to help Carlyle build its solutions business, which offers a mix of funds of funds, co-investments and secondaries. He left Carlyle in December and took on an advisory role at that time at Carlyle. He was replaced by Lauren Dillard, a managing director, chief operating and chief financial officer at Carlyle's solutions business.
