Houston Firefighters’ Relief & Retirement Fund committed up to $120 million total to four funds, said investment committee meeting minutes provided by Ajit Singh, chief investment officer.
The $3.6 billion pension fund committed up to $50 million each to private equity funds Dover Street IX, managed by HarbourVest Partners, and Green Equity Investors VII, managed by Leonard Green & Partners, pending final due diligence and contract negotiations.
The pension fund also approved additional commitments, not to exceed $10 million each, to European Secondary Development Fund V, managed by ARCIS Group, and Permal Private Equity Opportunities V, managed by Permal Capital Management, pending final due diligence and contract negotiations. It could not immediately be learned how much the pension fund previously committed to ARCIS and Permal.
