Richard Gardiner was named chief investment officer of Neuberger Berman Trust Co., an affiliate of Neuberger Berman, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Gardiner replaces Matthew Rubin, who has moved to a separate client-facing managing director role with parent Neuberger Berman.
Mr. Gardiner will work with Neuberger Berman's foundation and endowment clients, as well as wealth advisers and high-net-worth clients. With oversight of asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction, Mr. Gardiner and the investment strategy group will identify the most appropriate managers and investment strategies for clients. He reports to Erik Knutzen, CIO of multiasset-class portfolios, Neuberger Berman.
Mr. Gardiner was a consultant at the Reservoir Capital Group. He has not been replaced, said a spokeswoman for the company.
Neuberger Berman Trust Co. has $11.4 billion in assets under management.
