T. Ritson Ferguson was named CEO of CBRE Global Investors, said Pam Barnett, corporate communications director for CBRE Global Investors, in an e-mail.
Mr. Ferguson replaces Matt Khourie, who has served as CEO the past six years and was named CEO of real estate developer Trammell Crow Co. Both companies are subsidiaries of real estate firm CBRE Group.
Mr. Ferguson remains chief investment officer of CBRE Global Investors and CEO of CBRE’s real estate securities business, CBRE Clarion Securities. Mr. Ferguson helped form ING Clarion Securities, the predecessor real estate securities firm to CBRE Clarion Securities, which was acquired by CBRE in 2011.
Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors in 2009, Mr. Khourie had worked at Trammell Crow for 29 years, including his last position of president, development and investment, Southeast U.S.
“After six years as CEO of Global Investors, Matt was ready for a change. The opportunity to get back to his roots … and lead TCC, which is a very successful domestic real estate development business, was very appealing,” Ms. Barnett wrote. “There is a lot he can do to continue to grow that business, and TCC will benefit from having a full-time CEO.”
Mr. Khourie replaces Danny Queenan, who remains chief operating officer of CBRE Global Investors. Mr. Queenan will also continue to serve on Trammell Crow’s board of directors.
