Angela MacPherson joined Colchester Global Investors’ newly opened office in Sydney as head of distribution Australia.
Ms. MacPherson said in a telephone interview that she’ll be leading the institutionally focused London-based firm’s first foray into the intermediary market place in Australia.
Paul Allen, Colchester Global’s Singapore-based managing director, in a news release called Ms. MacPherson’s appointment a significant step in the firm’s “strategy of diversifying … our client base” and geographic footprint.
Ms. MacPherson had been national key account manager with Sydney-based Challenger Ltd.; she said she left in mid-2015 to spend time with her family and consider her next career move.
The news release said Australian clients currently account for roughly A$3 billion ($2.3 billion) of the firm’s A$46 billion in global assets under management.
