Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, made three new commitments totaling up to $220 million, said Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer, in an e-mail.
The $11.7 billion pension fund committed up to $110 million to Meridiam Infrastructure European III. The pension fund made a previous commitment of $75 million to Meridiam Infrastructure North America II in September 2012.
The pension fund also committed up to $60 million to private equity fund Thoma Bravo Fund XII. In March 2015, the fund committed $15 million to Thoma Bravo Special Opportunities Fund II.
Also, the pension fund committed up to $50 million to KKR Real Estate Partners Americas II, a real estate fund managed by KKR & Co.. In January, the pension fund committed $60 million to KKR Americas Fund XII, a private equity fund. In September 2015, up to $50 million was committed to KKR Real Estate Partners Europe.
