Judith P. Greffin, executive vice president and chief investment officer at Allstate Corp., will retire at the end of March, said a spokeswoman.
Steve Shebik, chief financial officer, will fill in as interim CIO while a search for permanent replacement is conducted.
Allstate does not have additional information on a timeline for the search.
Ms. Greffin oversees Allstate’s $78 billion investment portfolio. She also oversees Allstate’s employee pension plans, which had $5.35 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, according to its most recent 10-K filing. Ms. Greffin was appointed CIO in 2008 after nearly two decades with the insurance company.
