Manfred Schraepler joined Aquila Capital as managing director and business unit head, financial assets and liquid private markets, said a spokeswoman.
The position is new, and Mr. Schraepler started Monday. Mr. Schraepler supports the strategy development and growth of the firm’s financial asset business, which includes risk parity and other strategies, said the spokeswoman in an e-mail.
“Mr. (Schraepler) is a highly respected industry expert with a wealth of experience and strong track record in alternative investment management,” said Roman Rosslenbroich, CEO and co-founder of Aquila Capital, in a news release.
He was previously at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s fund solutions group, said the release. His title and details on any replacement could not be learned by press time. A spokeswoman for Bank of America Merrill Lynch declined to comment.
Aquila Capital manages more than €7.1 billion ($7.8 billion) of assets.
