Nebraska Public Employees Retirement System, Lincoln, rehired Ameritas as record keeper for the state’s four defined contribution plans, said Phyllis Chambers, director.
The retirement system issued an RFP in October. According to an evaluation document on the state’s purchasing website, the retirement system also evaluated ICMA-RC and Voya Retirement Services.
Ms. Chambers would not provide further information.
The defined contribution plans are the Nebraska State and County Defined Contribution Retirement Plan, Nebraska State and County Cash Balance Retirement Plan, State Patrol Deferred Retirement Option Plan and the Nebraska 457 Deferred Compensation Plan. The plans have combined assets of $2.7 billion.
