Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, made two new commitments totaling up to $75 million, said Dana Brown, director of public markets.
The $15.7 billion pension fund committed $50 million to Global Infrastructure Partners III. It is the first time the pension fund has made a commitment to the manager.
The pension fund also made a commitment of up to $25 million to Waterton Mining Parallel Onshore Master Fund, managed by Waterton Global Resource Management. The pension fund previously committed up to $50 million to Waterton Precious Metals Fund II, a commodities fund managed by Waterton Global Resource Management in November 2013.
Also, the pension fund made a follow-on commitment of up to $25 million to TPG Partners VII, a buyout fund. The pension fund originally committed up to $75 million in January 2015.
