Ken Bertsch was named executive director of the Council of Institutional Investors, the board of directors announced Friday.
Mr. Bertsch, who will start March 15, is a New York-based partner at CamberView Partners, an investor-led corporate governance adviser to public companies. His previous experience includes president and CEO of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, and corporate governance positions with Morgan Stanley (MS) Investment Management, TIAA-CREF and Moody's Investors Service.
Amy Borrus, CII deputy director has served as interim director since the departure of Ann Yerger last July.
CII Board Chairman Michael McCauley, senior officer for investment programs and governance with the $169.3 billion Florida State Board of Administration, Tallahassee, said in a statement that Mr. Bertsch's “deep experience will be a tremendous asset to the council as we continue to advocate for advances in shareowner rights and engage stakeholders for dialogue in this dynamic environment.”
