San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund is searching for emerging managers to run hedge fund and fixed-income strategies, said Matthew O’Reilly, chief investment officer of the pension fund, in an e-mail.
The $2.7 billion pension fund does not issue RFPs. Investment consultant NEPC will assist.
The search was approved at last week’s pension fund board meeting.
Details of the search, such as allocation sizes, funding sources and a hiring date are still being determined.
