San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System is searching for a firm to provide global custody and securities lending services, said Norm Nickens, board secretary.
Incumbent Northern Trust can rebid.
The $20 billion pension fund originally issued an RFP for global custody and securities lending services in August 2013 and then canceled it later.
The board approved issuing a new RFP on Dec. 9. Investment consultant Callan Associates is assisting in the search.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website.
Proposals are due by Jan. 29. A date for finalist interviews and an expected hiring decision are still to be determined.
