Ainsley Borel was named director of U.S. consultant relations at Aegon Asset Management, said a news release.
The position is new. Mr. Borel will be responsible for distribution of the institutional investment strategies and services offered by Aegon Asset Management's U.S. member companies — Aegon USA Investment Management and Aegon USA Realty Associates.
Aegon announced hiring Ron Shortenhaus as director of U.S. consultant relations in November. It could not be learned by press time how or if he will work alongside Mr. Borel.
Mr. Borel was previously a senior vice president and senior consultant relationship manager at Northern Trust Asset Management. Information on a replacement could not be learned by press time.
Spokesman Paul Johnson did not respond to phone calls or e-mails seeking additional comment.
