University of Vermont and State Agricultural College, Burlington, invested $5 million in the Polunin Developing Countries Fund for the $433 million endowment pool, recently released investment subcommittee minutes said.
The emerging markets equity mutual fund is managed by Polunin Capital Partners.
Kathy Snell, the university's assistant controller for tax and treasury services, referred questions to Jeffrey Wakefield, university spokesman, who did not return a phone call by press time.
