Kern County Employees’ Retirement Association, Bakersfield, Calif., approved making a direct hedge fund investment of $25 million in the Myriad Opportunities Master Fund, a multistrategy hedge fund, said Peter Tirp, chief investment officer.
It is the $3.7 billion pension fund’s first investment with a fund managed by Myriad Asset Management.
