Gregory A. Ehret was named CEO of PineBridge Investments, said spokesman Alex Yankus.
Effective Jan. 25, he replaces Stephen Fitzgerald, deputy chairman, who was appointed interim CEO after David Jiang resigned from the role in March. Mr. Fitzgerald will continue to serve as deputy chairman.
Mr. Ehret was chosen as president of State Street Global Advisors in June; CEO Ron O'Hanley has reassumed that role, spokeswoman Anne McNally said.
PineBridge managed more than $77.6 billion in assets as of Sept. 30.
