Daniel Greenhaus joined hedge fund manager Solus Alternative Asset Management as managing director and chief strategist.
He will work closely with Chris Bondy, Solus’ chief economist, managing director and executive vice president, said Chris Pucillo, CEO and chief investment officer. Mr. Greenhaus’ hire is part of the firm’s current expansion as well as in preparation for Mr. Bondy’s eventual retirement, Mr. Pucillo said.
Mr. Greenhaus was chief global strategist at BTIG, which provides global equity trading and fund services, including prime brokerage.
Solus manages $5.9 billion in event-driven, distressed and special situation opportunities for an institutional and family office client base.
