Jonathan D. Pollock was named co-CEO of hedge fund manager Elliott Management, sharing the title with Paul E. Singer, the firm's founder.
Messrs. Pollock and Singer will continue to serve as the company's co-chief investment officers, said a company spokesman.
Mr. Pollock's promotion to co-CEO is part of “recognizing Jon’s continuing role overseeing significant parts of the organization,” as well as the firm's succession planning, the spokesman said. Mr. Singer is 71 and Mr. Pollock is 52. The spokesman stressed that Mr. Singer does not intend to “step down any time soon.”
Elliott Management's net assets totaled $25.7 billion, according to its most recent ADV filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
