Mary Witherow was hired as senior vice president and head of relationship management for the large corporate market of Voya Financial’s retirement business, said William Sutton, spokesman.
Ms. Witherow “is responsible for client satisfaction, retention and growth as she focuses on providing Voya’s … record-keeping services to large employer-sponsored 401(k) defined contribution and benefit plans,” said an internal memo provided by Voya to Pensions & Investments. She replaces Sandy Tassinari, who retired.
Ms. Witherow had been a senior vice president at Fidelity investments. She was head of relationship management for Fidelity’s adviser-distributed 401(k) business, according to the Voya memo.
Fidelity officials could not be reached by press time for information on a replacement.
