Vanderbilt University’s endowment, Nashville, Tenn., returned 3.7% in the fiscal year ended June 30, the university’s recently released financial report said.
The $4.1 billion endowment did not provide return information on every asset class, but said domestic fixed income returned 2% and global equities returned 1%.
As of June 30, the endowment’s actual asset allocation was 29.8% private capital, 22.3% global equities, 20.4% hedged strategies, 9.2% cash and cash equivalents, 6.6% natural resources, 5% fixed income, 4.5% real estate and 2.2% commodities.
A university spokesman could not provide further information by press time.
